Reading local storage…
Your data
Almavivo keeps everything you’ve typed — intake answers, ratings, saved list, lab values, shift schedule, and medication review list — in this browser’s local storage. Download a backup file to keep a copy, move to another device, or restore later if you clear your browser data.

Reading local storage…
Back up
Download a single JSON file containing your intake answers, journal entries, and saved list. The file is created in your browser and saved to your device — nothing is uploaded.
Restore
Load a backup file you previously downloaded. This replaces the intake, journal, and list currently on this device.
Wipe this device
Remove everything Almavivo has stored on this device — intake, journal, saved list, all profiles. Use this if you’re handing the device on, or just want to start fresh. Download a backup first if you might want the data again.
What’s in the file
The file is plain JSON. You can open it in any text editor to read what’s inside. If you’ve used the medication review tool, your backup contains medication names— store the file with the same care you’d give a medication list (a password manager, an encrypted drive, or a folder you can find again).
Privacy
Export and restore happen entirely in your browser. The backup file is generated locally and saved to your device by your browser’s normal download flow. Restore reads a file you choose from your device. Nothing is uploaded to our server. See the privacy page for the full picture.
Restore replaces, doesn’t merge
Loading a backup overwrites everything on this device — intake, ratings, list, labs, shift, and medication list — with what’s in the file. If you want to keep both, download a backup of this device first.
Who can read this on your device
Other websites cannot read Almavivo’s local storage — browsers isolate it per origin. Browser sync does not upload it either. Anyone with access to your unlocked device, however, can read it through your browser’s developer tools, and so can browser extensions you have granted broad permissions to. Full-disk encryption (FileVault, BitLocker, on by default on iOS / Android) protects it at rest if the device is lost. The privacy page has the full picture.
